This season, the department started analysing and developing the new security, ticketing and access control management system that will replace the current AVET system.

The CASTOR project (Spanish acronym for Access Control, Security and Results-Oriented Ticketing) is currently at the end of the first stage, which focused on the features that the new system must have. We are now analysing the proposals to choose the technological partner that will initiate the technical design and development of the solution with the LFP.

Technological update process

During this season, several meetings and information seminars were held (in Madrid, Valencia and Seville) with all the clubs in order to get to know their needs, share progress made and explain the scope of the project. The Clubs also have access to relevant information on the scope of the project in the portal of the LFP's website.

The development and future implementation of the new management system that will replace the current AVET is a long and complex process. Because of the broadness of the new system's features, the security guarantee it offers in stadiums' access and its future implementation in all the professional clubs, putting it into operation will take place over the next two seasons.

Given that it is a long process, this season we established a set of improvement goals for the current system in order to make the management of processes through the AVET system more efficient. Amongst the most important ones, we can highlight the following:

  • Consolidation of the communications between the clubs and the LFP: Communications improvement. Current connectivity between the Clubs and the LFP is via 3G. This season, a project was launched to improve communications and make it possible to provide a better service level via ADSL/SDSL, which should make it possible to optimise management processes.
    • Remote monitoring: Remote monitoring via SCA servers. Service guarantee in the remote medium when there are functionality updates.
    • Network management: Improvement on the logical security management with Stonesoft products. Optimisation of the SCA and UCO networks.
    • Sale through third channels: Improvements on the sale of tickets through third channels, making it possible to centralise, from a technical point of view, all the clubs' communications with the ticketing companies with which the clubs have reached agreements to sell tickets for their sporting events.
