Introduction

During the 2014/2015 season, the Fundación del Fútbol Profesional has been intensely active in the varying areas in which it operates, in accordance with the objectives set out at the start of the year.

In the institutional field, new collaborative agreements have been entered into with public and private university centres, as well as with national and international bodies, for the realization of a wide range of social, educational and academic projects.

Equally, agreements have been renewed that were entered into years before with organisations linked to childhood, youth and with varying underprivileged groups associated with the world of sport.

In the educational and cultural sphere, the Foundation has, in recent years, become the most prominent educational and knowledge-related bench-mark in Spain in all legal and tax-based areas associated with professional football. Its educational strategy has enabled it to organise both ongoing events throughout the season and one-day events of an immediate nature following the publication of a regulation, to allow for its impact and repercussion to be assessed.

Meanwhile, the Foundation has continued to work to promote relations between club Foundations, holding the 9th Foundations Forum at the end of the year, where it had the opportunity to present the Foundation’s new WEBSITE, an instrument for the exchange, knowledge and dissemination of the foundation’s activities in the game of football.

With regard to publications, it is worth highlighting the recent launch of the LaLiga Legal Magazine, a digital publication that will publicise the latest developments concerning legal questions from the world of professional football and the educational activities being carried out by the Foundation.

In the social field, the Foundation has participated in a range of worthy causes, all of fundamental importance. An example of this would be the aid campaign for the Nepal earthquake, the project for families at risk of social exclusion, research into childhood cancer and the social inclusion of people with physical or mental disabilities.

It is also worth highlighting the global dimension of some of the Foundation’s social projects, put into action in conjunction with other European Leagues, the European Union’s Erasmus + programmes.

We would conclude this section by mentioning the charity match “Champions for Life”, organised alongside UNICEF, with the essential and disinterested collaboration of all our clubs and sports limited companies (SADs), and which was held for the second time this season. The funds raised went towards the fight against Ebola in Africa and to five humanitarian projects related to the most basic needs of infancy.

Finally, in the area of sports, the Foundation has once again played its part in the LaLiga Campus, aimed at children aged 8-13, participating in educational workshops alongside organisations such as UNICEF, the FAO, and a range of NGOs, including humanitarian elements and instilling values.
