The Foundation collaborated one more year with Fundacion El Larguero in the 20th National Junior 7-a-side Football Blue BBVA Championship, held in Los Carmenes stadium (Granada) from the 7-9th of June 2013. The junior teams of the clubs that participated in the Liga BBVA this season were present.

The presentation took place in Palacio de los Córdovas, by journalists José Ramón de la Morena and Laura Martínez, and it had the participation of Miguel Cardenal, secretary of state for sport, LFP’s chairman Javier Tebas and the major of Granada Jose Torres, as well as by secretary of the regional department of sport in Andalucia, Ignacio Rodriguez, and representatives from Fundacion El Larguero and BBVA, the financial entity that sponsored the event.

In the presentation of this championship the junior teams had the support of chairmen and representatives from Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante, thus showing their commitment with the lower categories.

As is the case from the beginning of this championship, it was broadcasted live for the whole of Spain by Cuatro/Energy and Canal+.

In this 20th edition, the following prizes were awarded:

  1. Champion: F.C. Barcelona
  2. Finalist: Valencia C.F.
  3. Best player: Bernabé (Espanyol)
  4. Top scorer: Ansu (Barcelona)

The Foundation collaborates annually in the LFP Campus, an activity organised in Montanya (Barcelona) for boys and girls aged 8 to 13 years of age, with educational and sport objectives, and that brings together over 130 students from Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico and Panama.

During the non-sporting hours, there are entertainment and leisure activities (games, swimming, activities in English language...), combined with educational and social workshops in cooperation with organisations such as UNICEF and FAO, as well as visits to football stadiums of the Liga BBVA clubs.
